Exciting change coming to Greenbank Shopping Centre

Greenbank Shopping Centre is located within the Greater Flagstone Priority Development Area, approximately 29km south of Brisbane, a location set to house a population of around 138,000 people.

The centre’s main trade area is already exceeding growth expectations and is forecast to experience a population explosion over the next 10 years. The expansion of Greenbank Shopping Centre will support the fast-growing population, while creating additional employment opportunities for the region.

Centre Overview

Greenbank Shopping Centre is a single-level 3970 square meter neighbourhood centre, currently anchored by a Woolworths supermarket as well as a Woolworths Plus Petrol and 17 Specialty stores. The centre is conveniently located between the Covella and Everleigh communities and situated in an ideal location next to exciting future develop- ments including a new library and community facility, health hub, new school and train station.

Project Summary

Region Group, owner of Greenbank Shopping Centre has proposed a demand-driven redevelopment and major expansion of the existing Greenbank Shopping Centre to solidify its position as the area’s Town Centre.

The proposed expansion, which will utilise the vacant land to the west of the existing centre along Pub Lane, will look to provide an additional full line supermarket, multiple additional retail tenancies, additional parking and a large format discount department store. This will meet growing food and grocery needs and improve choice and convenience for locals.

A series of activities to update and refresh the existing centre such as upgrades to the building façade, and improvements to landscaping, parking and other amenities will also be performed.
